Generous margins enhance readability. To reduce reader fatigue seen in past Liturgy of the Hours books, Word on Fire redesigned the experience by shortening the distance your eyes travel between lines and removing clutter from hyphenated or cut-off words.

Line-Matched Text

Text is precisely aligned on the front and back of each page to prevent distracting “ghosting” effects caused by page ​translucency. This technique enhances readability and clarifies page structure for readers.

Rubrics

All rubrics and citations are moved to the margins to allow for quick referencing and continuous undistracted prayer.

Hierarchy

A well structured typographical system serves as the backbone for each book’s organization and ease of use.
